Ladies “Swing With Bling” Summer 2020 Invitational

The Hayward Ladies League has settled on a date for their invitational event in summer of 2020 — Wednesday, June 17th. Ladies, mark your calendars accordingly! See below for some additional details.

Ryder Cup — Saturday, October 12th

As we’ve done in past falls, we’re holding a Ryder Cup-style event in October. Golf Pro Ben Kanters and Superintendent Jeff Streeter will each captain a team competing in the following format:

• Scramble (6 Holes)
• Best Ball (6 Holes)
• Head-to-Head (6 Holes)

Tee times start at 12:30pm. $25 entry fee (does not include green fee or cart rental). Open to the first 40 to sign up. We have limited spots available to fill out the field, so if you’re interested, contact the Pro Shop!

Packers Square Board Results

Our Packers Board to raise funds for our course improvement campaign was a fun success last week, raising $2500! Here are the lucky winners:

ABC Scramble — Saturday, September 21st

Joe Richie’s annual fall scramble event is only a few days away, and there are still some spots available for interested golfers! There will be three-man teams (comprised of A, B, and C-level players, and which will be created by the organizers) competing in a scramble format.

Entry for members is $50 per player, and entry for non-members is $80 per player (cart fee not included). The entry fees will cover a sizable payout and a substantial skins game pot.

Fall Rates — Beginning September 23rd

We have reached the point in the season where it’s time to shift over into autumn, and that means fall rates are about to take effect. Starting on Monday, the 23rd of September, we will be offering the following rates (tax not included):

• 9 Holes – $18
• 9 Holes with Cart – $27
• 18 Holes – $26.99
• 18 Holes with Cart – $39.99

If the weather cooperates, fall can be one of the most beautiful and scenic times of the year for golf, so look forward to taking advantage of these terrific values.

Fall Memberships

Along similar lines, keep in mind that our Fall Membership Promotion is in full effect. As of September 1st, if a person – who has not been a member for the 2019 summer season – pays for a 2020 membership, they will be extended membership privileges for the remainder of the 2019 fall season (through October 31st, the final day of the season).

Hayward Girls Youth Softball Fundraiser — Sunday, September 22nd

We’ve got one more tournament opportunity we’re hosting this season, and it will benefit a good cause. Pertinent details are available below!

Lastly, we wanted to remind everybody that our final Fish Fry is on the schedule for Friday, the 20th. It’s been a great year of fish fries for us, so join us for one more and help us close out the year in style! Details HERE.

Final Fish Fry of the Season — Friday, September 20th / Joe Kuta Tournament Reminder

We’ve enjoyed hosting our periodic fish fries over the course of the year, and now as fall starts to creep up on us, we’re bringing it back one last time on Friday, the 20th of September.

The price will be $13.99 – all you can eat – and the menu will include:

– Broiled or Deep-Fried Pollock
– Coleslaw
– Baked Potato or Fresh-Cut French Fries
– Breadsticks

We will also be offering two walleye options: walleye cheeks for $15.99 and walleye fillets for $23.99. Both will come with the same sides as the regular menu, but these will not be all you can eat. We will be serving from 5:00pm to 9:00pm in the Caddyshak Bar & Grill.

As a reminder, the Joe Kuta Senior Tournament on Sunday, September 15th, still has some availability. If you’re a senior golfer on the fence, consider taking the plunge and joining this storied and historic event!
