Joe Kuta Senior Tournament — Sunday, September 15th

Joe Kuta Tournament

On Sunday, September 15th, we will be holding our annual Joe Kuta Senior Tournament. Open to golfers (member and non-member alike) age 50 and older, and flighted by handicap, “The Kuta,” as it has come to be known, is a terrific event and one of the highlights of our season!

Entry is $30 for members (which includes meal and prizes) and $50 for guests (which includes green fee, meal, and prizes), with an optional skins game. Tee times are available from 9:00am through 11:00am.

To sign up or get more information, stop in the Pro Shop or give us a call at (715) 634-2760.

Pro Shop Sales

In the Pro Shop, we are currently running a handful of merchandise specials:
• $25 off all in-stock golf bags.
• In-stock Vokey and Mack Daddy wedges available at the price of $119.99.
• Blowout prices on in-stock Callaway Big Bertha hybrids — $209.99 (regularly $249.99)

Latest Course Improvement

We also wanted to update everybody on one of the course improvement initiatives that our fundraising campaign has allowed us to bring to fruition — the new cart path to and around the green on Hole #9. This extended and resurfaced path will allow for considerably smoother transit through these areas!

As a reminder, our Packer Board initiative is still ongoing to help us complete future projects such as this!  See HERE for further details.

Finally, in our ongoing series of thanking our corporate hole sponsors for their partnership, we’re extending our gratitude to Ignite Vapor and Tobacco, the sponsor of the Men’s Tee on Hole #11.

Fall Membership Promotion

As we have for the past five years, we’re once again offering our Fall Membership Promotion. The basic idea is this: beginning September 1st, if a person – who has not been a member for the 2019 summer season – pays for a 2020 membership, they will be extended membership privileges for the remainder of the 2019 fall season (through October 31st, the final day of the season).

This is a great opportunity for new prospective members to get a jump on next year and also take advantage of membership play in the fall.

If you have been considering taking the plunge and becoming a member at some point in the future, this is almost too good a chance to pass up! Current members, if you know of any friends or neighbors who might be interested in joining the community, pass along this information!

Visit HERE to see all of our membership rates and options. Call or stop in the Pro Shop to sign up!

As a reminder, our next Fish Fry in the Caddyshak Bar & Grill is scheduled for Friday, August 30th. The price will be $13.99 – all you can eat – and the menu will include:

– Broiled or Deep-Fried Pollock
– Coleslaw
– Baked Potato or Fresh-Cut French Fries
– Breadsticks

We’ll also be offering two walleye options: walleye cheeks for $15.99 and walleye fillets for $23.99. Both will come with the same sides as the regular menu, but these will not be all you can eat, however.

We will be serving from 5:00pm to 9:00pm in the Caddyshak Bar & Grill. Mark your calendars!  To make a reservation, call the Caddyshak at (715) 634-2460.

Also, don’t forget to take advantage of the Caddyshak patio, which offers some terrific views and relaxed atmosphere to enjoy a drink or a meal. The Caddyshak serves lunch 7 days a week from 11am – 3pm, as well as breakfast on Fridays and Saturdays starting at 8am, and 7am on Sundays.

We also wanted to bring to your attention the Hurricane Hockey Club’s Brian Clifford Memorial Golf Outing on Sunday, September 8th. The event is nearly full, but there is still room for three teams to join the fray! If you have any interest, further information can be found HERE.

Finally, a big congratulations to all who competed in the Men’s Club Championship over the weekend. The biggest shout-out goes to Kordell Swanson, the new Men’s Club Champ, who triumphed over the field with a combined two-day, one-under-par score of 143!

Packers 100-Square Board / Fish Fry Reschedule — Friday, August 30th

As most of you will know, this year we’ve been emphasizing our initiative to raise funds for a series of course improvement projects. We’re currently at $20,270 out of our 2019 goal of $25,000, so we’re closing in and looking for your help to push us over the top! And this latest campaign will offer you the chance to take home some serious winnings of your own!

We’re introducing a Green Bay Packers Square Board in the Pro Shop. Tied to the Eagles/Packers game on Thursday, September 26th, the board has 100 squares, and each square costs $50. Each square is associated with a set of secret numbers (to be revealed later), and if your numbers correspond to the score of the game at the end of each of the four quarters, you win!

We’re hosting a Watch Party in the Caddyshak on the 26th, and during the game we’ll be handing out $500 at the end of every quarter, along with $125 at the end of every quarter for the reverse winning numbers. Also, 50% of revenue generated at the party in the Caddyshak will go directly to the course improvement fund.

With some other initiatives already in place, this will be the capstone of the year that will take us across the goal line!

You can mail entries to our P.O. box (1079, Hayward, WI 54843), or call or stop at the Pro Shop at (715) 634-2760. Checks can be made out to Hayward Golf Club if paying via that method. If you will be mailing a check, please let us know so we can secure a Square for you.

We also wanted to make everybody aware that, due to some unique circumstances, we’ve had to reschedule our next Fish Fry to Friday, August 30th. So plan accordingly!

Finally, a big congratulations to Karen Giese, the new Women’s Club Champion! She also made a hole-in-one during her final round to add a little extra flair to her victory! Well done!
