Board of Directors Election Results

At the annual meeting on Monday, August 27th, the 2018/2019 Board of Directors election results were finalized. The following members were elected to serve terms:

• Gerry Denk
• Jerry Elbert
• Butch Johnson
• Quentin Johnson

This election received the highest number of votes in recent history, so we want to extend a big thanks to all the members who cast a ballot!

Lastly, we wanted to give a shout-out to our Junior Club Champions, Devin Sheehan and Gabby Tremblay. Congratulations!

Final Fish Fry of the Season — Friday, August 31st!

We’ve had success with our “Roll Back the Clock” Fish Fries throughout the summer, and we’re bringing it back one last time on the Friday before Labor Day, the 31st of August.

Come join us for one more night of great food!

The price will be $13.99 – all you can eat – and the menu will consist of:

– Broiled or Deep-Fried Pollock
– “Secret Recipe” Oriental Coleslaw
– Baked Potato or Fresh-Cut French Fries
– Breadstick

We’re also going to be offering a deep-fried walleye version of this meal for $23.99, but the walleye will not be all you can eat. We will be serving from 5:00pm – 9:00pm.

ABC Scramble Info and Board Candidates

“Joe’s ABC Scramble” – Sunday, August 26th

As he has done for the past several years, Joe Richie is putting together another fun scramble event. There will be three-man teams (comprised of A, B, and C-level players, and which will be created by the organizers) competing in a scramble format.

Entry for members is $45 per player, and entry for non-members is $75 per player (cart fee not included). The entry fees will cover a substantial payout and a sizable skins game pot.

Just a reminder that the Hayward Civic Club Annual Meeting on Monday, August 27th, will see the election to fill four vacancies on the current board.

Fall Membership Promotion

As we have for the past four years, we’re once again offering our Fall Membership Promotion. The basic idea is this: beginning September 1st, if a person – who has not been a member for the 2018 summer season – pays for a 2019 membership, they will be extended membership privileges for the remainder of the 2018 fall season (through October 31st, the final day of the season).

This is a great opportunity for new prospective members to get a jump on next year and also take advantage of membership play in the fall.

If you have been considering taking the plunge and becoming a member at some point in the future, this is almost too good a chance to pass up! Current members, if you know of any friends or neighbors who might be interested in joining the membership community, pass along this information!
