New Social Membership for 2019

For 2019, we are implementing a new option among the range of our membership choices: a revamped Social Membership. We’ve offered Social Memberships in the past, but this year we are adding additional value to make this membership attractive to golfers who play a fair amount, but not enough to justify a full membership. This could be perfect for a golfer, maybe a weekender or from a few towns over, who plays 10 to 12 rounds a year.

You could even think of it like a loyalty rewards program, because those with Social Memberships at Hayward Golf Club will receive the following:

• 10% Off All Green Fees Throughout the Entire 2019 Season
• Discounted Member Cart Fees
• $10 Club Credit Redeemable in the Caddyshak Bar and Grill
• Voting Privileges in Board of Directors Elections
• Access to Member Events

The price for the 2019 Social Membership is $100, plus tax.

This would make for a great Christmas present for someone in your family or a friend who is a great patron of Hayward Golf Club. Or you could even buy one for yourself, and save money all throughout the 2019 season at HGC.

Weekly Event Reminder

– Cribbage on Wednesday Night, December 12th, from 6pm – 9pm in the Caddyshak Bar and Grill.  Open to all.
– Cornhole on Friday, December 14th, from 2pm – 10pm in the Caddyshak Bar and Grill.  Open to all.

Winter Activities!

The holiday season has arrived, and with it we’re announcing a slate of off-season activities in the Caddyshak Bar and Grill! As we did last year, we will be holding weekly cribbage and cornhole events.

Cribbage league will take place on Thursday evenings from 6pm – 9pm in the bar, starting on December 6th. It will be a two-person league, with new partners drawn at random each week before the start of play.

If you know of anybody you think might be interested, but is outside the reach of our posts and emails, please feel free to let them know about this league. It is open to anybody. We look forward to seeing all our fellow cribbage fans!

Cornhole will run on Fridays from 2pm – 10pm in the Caddyshak, starting on December 7th. In addition to just the cornhole, we’re adding a dart board and pool table to the mix to provide even more excitement to the days’ activities! We’re also in the planning stages for a “Bar Olympics”-style event after the New Year, involving two-person teams competing in cornhole, pool, and darts. Keep an eye out for further details!

Cash bar and select snacks and food will be available for both the cribbage and cornhole events. We do not currently anticipate skipping any weeks for the holidays (given where in the week the holidays themselves are falling this year), but we will let folks know if the schedule does have to change for some reason. If you don’t already, start following the Caddyshak Bar and Grill Facebook page for the most current updates!

On behalf of the Board of Directors, Hayward Golf Club staff, and Caddyshak Bar & Grill staff, thank you for a great season! While the weather may not have always cooperated as fully as we might have liked, this season saw the golf course conditions as good as they’ve ever been. Your support is very much appreciated, and we look forward to getting back into the golfing action next spring… hopefully earlier than the last couple of years!

2019 Hayward Open Sign-Up Information / Customer Appreciation Day Reminder

In a renewal of what has been a decades-long tradition here at Hayward Golf Club, we’re excited to offer the first details about next summer’s hotly-anticipated Hayward Open Golf Tournament! The event will take place over two days on the first weekend of June, 2019 – Saturday, June 1st & Sunday, June 2nd.

The cost per golfer is $95 for this 45-hole (event reduced member entry available). There is an 18-hole stroke play qualifying round on Saturday, followed by 27 holes on Sunday with your Saturday score determining if you are in the stroke play or match play brackets. There will be an optional practice round with a giant skins game on Friday, May 31st.

As has been customary, the sign-up for the event will open at 7:00am on Wednesday, October 31st, 2018. We will be taking sign-ups by email or phone call. We cap the field size at 144, and the spots will go fast!

This is a great event every year, and we look forward to seeing what 2019’s field will bring!
