Do you care about our golf course?
Are you interested in helping our course continue to prosper and grow?
Would you like to have a say in how it’s operated and help plan for its future?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, you should run for a seat on the Board of Directors of the Hayward Civic Club. The Hayward Civic Club is managed by an eleven person board of directors. Board terms are three years and there are five seats to fill this year. You must be a Season Passholder of the Hayward Golf Course to serve on the board.
The board meets on the 3rd Wednesday every month. Zoom and teleconference connections are provided if a member is unable to attend a meeting in person.
The Hayward Civic Club board is action oriented. Board activities in the past year included:
- Development of a strategic plan.
- Implementation of an annual planning and budgeting process.
- Remodeling of the Caddyshak & expansion of the pergola.
- Work with a design firm to start developing a long term plan for golf course improvements.
- Sale of lots on the Front 9.
- Donation of the Front 9 to the Town of Hayward.
- Work toward achieving 501(c)3 non-profit status.
Board members are expected to attend monthly board meetings and actively participate in at least one committee. Committees include Golf, Grounds, House & Events, Finance, and Executive.
Sign-up to run for the board by submitting a bio to the Pro Shop. Bios can be e mailed to proshop@haywardgolf.com or hard copy can be dropped off at the Pro Shop. Deadline for signing up to run for a board seat is August 6th.
