Memorial Day Weekend Update

Despite what the recent cool and rainy weather might have us believe, summer is right on our doorstep!  With Memorial Day Weekend a few days away, we wanted to take the opportunity to bring a few items to your attention!

– This Sunday, the 28th, we will be offering a waffle breakfast special (with a choice of toppings, including praline sauce) in the Caddyshak Bar and Grill.  For more information, or to make reservations, call the Caddyshak at (715) 634-2460.

– TaylorMade will be sponsoring a Demo Day on our driving range next Tuesday, May 30th, from 12:00pm to 5:00pm.  Demo days provide a great chance to actually get your hands on some of the latest equipment and see if something feels right for you and your game.

– A few individual spots remain open for our annual Hayward Open tournament on June 3rd and 4th.  Entry for members is $85, while entry for non-members is $95.  Call the Pro Shop at (715) 634-2760 to sign up or to get more information about the event.

And just on a more general level, we hope many of you come out to join us this weekend for golf, food, drink, or all of the above!  The forecast for Friday and Saturday looks very promising at this point, and Memorial Day Weekend always feels like the time when the switch is flipped and we finally enter the summer season for real.

MEN’S 9 HOLE LEAGUE CANCELLED

Due to the rain, we have many areas of standing water on the golf course.  As such, we have made the decision to cancel the 9 Hole League this afternoon.  We plan to be back with a vengeance next Tuesday!

In other news, we just wanted to remind any interested couples that our Couples League begins this Sunday, with tee times starting at 1:00pm.  For more information, or to book a time, call the Pro Shop at (715) 634-2760.

Also, our Callaway Chrome Soft Prize Board has made its return to the Pro Shop!  See staff in the Pro Shop for details.

Mother’s Day Breakfast

Mother’s Day

This coming Sunday is Mother’s Day, and we would like to invite all mothers and their families to join us for breakfast.  We are offering a Strawberry Stuffed French Toast breakfast special ($9.99), as well as all of our regular breakfast menu items.  We hope you’ll consider celebrating this special day with us!

Reminder!

Our upcoming Trivia Night Dinner on Saturday, May 20th, still has some space available.  We’re hard at work crafting an entertaining evening, and we’re very excited to share what we’re cooking up on the 20th!

$30 entry fee per person, which includes ribeye or walleye dinner, tax, tip, and prizes).  Sign up in teams of 2 to 8.  Open to members, their guests, and the general public.  Whether you want to seriously compete in the trivia or just want to eat and spectate, you are welcome!  Sign up by Tuesday, May 16th!

Trivia Night Dinner: Saturday, May 20th – Sign Ups Now Open!

We are thrilled to formally announce Hayward Golf Club’s first-ever Trivia Night Dinner!  We’re constantly looking for new ways to provide fresh experiences to our guests, and this event – open to members, their guests, and the general public – should be just that.  A $30 per person entry fee will cover dinner, tax, tip, and a variety of fantastic prizes that will be won during the trivia rounds.

Hosted in the Caddyshak Bar and Grill, the Trivia Night Dinner will begin at 6:00pm on Saturday, May 20th, with a menu consisting of:

• Your choice of 10 oz. Walleye or 10 oz. Ribeye
• Garlic Mashed Potatoes
• Homemade Coleslaw
• Breadstick
• Dessert Bar

Whether you’re a serious trivia competitor, looking to laugh from the sidelines, or just want to eat and drink, there’s a place for you!

• Walleye or Ribeye dinner selection
• Number of people on your team (between 2 and 8)
